Joseph: Gay-Man Extraordinaire!

Took some candid portraits of a Puerto Rican guy I know named Joseph. He's probably the most stereotypically flamboyant and flamingly gay man you will ever meet, and his consistently hyper, sexual-innuendo-filled babbling is always entertaining. To make the story even more complex, he's also an ex-gay-porn actor who is HIV positive and an ex-drug addict. Most importantly though, is that at heart he's a hell of a decent guy when not being over-the-top, working at a local AIDS testing and awareness clinic.

It would be fair to say I respect him for not only the things he's overcome but how he lives his life today.

I am planning a cross-country trip for the summer of 2009, but with a bit of a social experiment mixed in. If you would like me to take your photo, I would love to travel to meet you.
